Topic:  Future with modals, will, may and might

On this lesson teachers taught about future with modals, will, may and might.

In order to introduce the topic,  teacher Ligia began the class with a musical activity she played 2 songs, and students (simultaneously) identified in the lyrics the verbs: will, may and might. Later, teachers and students checked it together.

After that,  teacher Dania introduced the topic with a little explanation about the use of  will, may and might. After that, she requested to go to page #3 in the handouts, and asked them to read out loud, as well she presented the structure of the sentences with some pieces of paper that contained fragments of a sentence Then she did a game in which there were two modal verbs in a balloon and they had to write the 2 sentences as fast as they could, then they checked the answers.

Next, teacher Sara explained the structure of questions with will. Then, students had to answer the questions.

So, teacher Karen asked students to gather around a board game, then everyone of them threw a dice to start the game. Whenever one of them stopped in a box with a task, that student had to perform the task.

Moreover, teacher José gave to the students a worksheet in which they had to fill in the blanks with modals: will, may and might. At the end students read each sentence, teacher checked the answers and he corrected the incorrect answers.

Finally, teacher Dania finished the class by asking: What did you learn today? students answered, and she dismissed the class.
