Objective of the class:
By the end of the lesson students will be able to
demonstrate reading comprehension by analyzing the main idea of each paragraph
and answering 8 questions related to the topic.
In this lesson teachers started by presenting the
objective and rules for the class. After that teacher Denisse, played a memory game
with abbreviations, then, teacher put in disorder all the abbreviations and
their meanings, after that students made 2 groups and each group had to put the
answers. later, teacher Natalia asked the students if they knew those
abbreviations and if the use them when they text.
Students were asked to read a text individually, once they finished, they read aloud the paragraph. Then, they worked in pairs, each one of them had to analyze one paragraph and write on the handout the main idea. next, one member of the pairs switched with other pair and shared their analysis. when they finished, they went to the front of the class and explained what they understood.

Teachers asked students to answer some questions that
were in the handout. Once they finished, they went to the front, each one of
them had the opportunity to answer a question that was written on the roulette.
Teacher Maria asked students if everything was clear
and after that teacher Amada finished the class by explaining a homework for
students to make it in their homes for the next class. The teacher gave them
examples of how they needed to do it, and finally she dismissed the
class.
